Moon in Gemini

FIND YOUR MOON SIGN

A riddle wrapped in mystery inside an enigma, that's a Gemini Moon - but only if you expect
conformity, predictability and a journey that is well signposted. Gemini Moons are often difficult to understand just because the rest of us have such a hard time keeping up with them. Like the shifting sands in a desert or the fleeting images in a smoky house of mirrors, the Gemini Moon has numerous qualities that are at once contradictory and yet, certainly to them, make perfect sense in the hermetic vessel of their fascinating personalities.

Angels and Fairies

The first rule when relating with a Gemini Moon is to be at ease with change and comfortable with the unexpected. If you enjoy a challenge, thrill, humor, practical jokes and quick wit, then the Gemini Moon is for you - which suggests that your Moon could be in Sagittarius, Pisces or even Aries.

Many of us approach the problem-solving of life by carefully filling in the first box, moving on to the second and eventually, if we are lucky, completing the form. This sequential and logical approach has little currency with a Gemini Moon because, unlike us, they can multitask and make relevant connections between unlike objects and concepts that we couldn't conceive of in our wildest imagination. This is one reason why Gemini Moons are sometimes categorized as mad - or genius depending on who is marking the exam. One doesn't really understand a Gemini Moon as much as marvel at their nature. In fact, many genuine and artistic geniuses have had their Moon in Gemini including Sati, Stravinsky, Debussy, Henri Breton, Henri Rousseau, Roman Polanski and John Cage - all of whom are enigmatic in character and work.

Gemini Moon is at once the jester, messenger, illusionist and inventor of the cosmic zodiac court, with the essential role of inspiration, insight and the proffering of Socratic questions and Sphinx-like riddles that challenge and surprise in fits of fun and wonder. It is appropriate then that the ruler of Gemini is Mercury, the messenger of the gods and the fickle quick-footed embodiment of the cosmic mind and intellect . Mercury symbolizes thought, inspiration, eloquence, repartee, insight, originality and sudden flashes of imagination and so creativity is the hallmark of Gemini. Even if your partner's Moon in Gemini lacks the support in the rest of their chart to make them an Oscar-winning actor, without doubt their character and disposition will be scented by the tendency to create according to their abilities.

Gemini Moons are independent thinkers and are often quite original. They are able to weave a tapestry of attitudes and opinions that span a range of disciplines. If well-educated, they have the intrinsic nature of the polymath, and if not the least you can expect is a spectrum of trivia, word games and sophisms that tend to the polyglot. And yet, despite this jumble of mental puzzle pieces that form their strongly non-conformist picture, they reserve the right to change their views - immediately, even whimsically - and usually have a reputation for defending them strongly. Want a good and varied debate? Find a Gemini Moon, as this is what matters to them.

The adaptability of the Gemini Moon is their singular survival technique and their real strength, both intellectually and in relationships. Their ability to grasp the essence of an idea gives them an advantage and can put them in the lead in their chosen field of work. If they can quiet their busy mind, and sometimes busy speech, they can be very good at listening to their intuition, especially when it comes to other people. The danger they face with this is in listening to their mind and not their heart, which can lead them to jump to the wrong conclusions and can be a sore spot in their relationships. They tend to have good common sense but often ignore their own or others' practical counsel.

One teacher of mine used to call Gemini Moons 'angels and fairies', which probably doesn't fit well if you are an 18-stone decathlete or night-club bouncer, but it does illustrate an important point about the Gemini Moon, which is that regardless of the external package, they have a sweet, tender and caring heart and love a feather-light touch. They have an otherworldly, will-o'-the-wisp quality to their emotional nature and it is important to recognize this if you are to have the kind of satisfying, delicate emotional relationship that they can offer. This is especially notable with women who have their Moons in Gemini, giving an attractive subtle shimmer to their appearance and their interactions, particularly in the privacy of intimate relation ships. If you are lucky to be in relationship with such a Gemini Moon, don't grasp too hard. Treat them with the delicacy that they expect, otherwise they will slip your hold and flutter away all too easily.
